In 2020, I intentionally shifted Waridi Events from a full service corporate events agency, handling everything from product launches to staff gatherings and end of year parties, to specializing exclusively in conferences.

That decision meant:
Letting go of some of our core clients.
Rebranding as a Professional Conference Organiser.
Building a dedicated team of conference experts.
We refined our marketing to attract partners aligned with our new vision, analysed data from every event to guide the launch of sub brands and methodically ticked off each strategic milestone over the past five years.

Today, we are taking our next big step by expanding into Kigali.
According to ICCA, Kigali is East Africa’s leading MICE destination and ranks second in Africa.

The city offers a better structured environment for MICE providers, with:
World class meeting spaces.
Reliable security.
Straightforward entry requirements.
Rwanda Convention Bureau ensuring global standards are met.
The Rwandan government has been intentional in its push towards business events, investing heavily in infrastructure and MICE education.

We already enjoy strong partnerships in Kigali with:
Venues
Hotels
Branding agencies
Travel companies
AV firms
Consultants
The service levels match what we deliver in Nairobi.

This expansion also gives us the chance to benchmark ourselves against the best in Africa, from South Africa to Rwanda, so we can continue learning, growing and raising the bar in conference delivery across the continent.
As an entrepreneur, seeing Waridi Events officially launch in Kigali is a proud milestone and we are ready to welcome any international client looking to host their conferences here.

This move into Rwanda marks an exciting new chapter for Waridi. The same creativity and detail we’re known for in Kenya is now within reach for Kigali-based organisations.
