On November 3rd, 2023, the Kenya Transform Food Festival Kenya 2023 took place at Shamba Events, Loresho, transformed by Waridi Events into an unconventional conference space. Waridi Events provided end-to-end event management services, including electronic registration, venue coordination, vendor management, contracting, and event program coordination, ensuring a seamlessly organized and executed event.

Hosted by Wasafiri Consulting, the event welcomed 126 guests for a half-day unconference. The festival, themed "Showcasing the Value of the African Food Fellowship," gathered innovators, entrepreneurs, practitioners, and decision-makers from various sectors, including government, private industry, civil society, and community groups.

​Focused on highlighting critical issues in Kenya's food systems, particularly in agrifinance, horticulture, and aquaculture, the festival provided a platform for discussions and collaboration.

Beginning with a delightful lunch, the event proceeded with an opening plenary session, followed by informal work groups and breakout sessions. The day culminated in an award ceremony, offering a refreshing departure from traditional conference formats. The barn's rustic charm provided a picturesque backdrop for this thoughtfully curated conference.
