The Kenya Counter-narrative Campaign Follow-up Round Table was held on February 1st, 2018 at the Villa Rosa Kempinski, Nairobi. The overall objective was to have an informal workshop during which a public report, Between Two Extremes: Responding to Islamist and tribalist messaging online in Kenya during the 2017 elections was launched.
One of the main objectives of the event was to provide the guests with a setting for them to network as they were taught and shared their experiences in their respective fields. For the event space, we went for a simple round table for easy communication and to give the space a more intimate feel.
The branding centred around the ISD logo, with a backdrop inside the room for photo moments and name tags handed to guests.
The registration area was set up at the entrance of the main room. The attendees confirmed their names on the guest list and were issued with name tags and ushered into the room. We had a tea area set up for the guests in the foyer.
To end the day, guests had the opportunity to experience an amazing culinary experience at the Carnivore Restaurant, where guests could select from a variety of game and eat their fill. The event(s) ended on a light note, with happy clients.
