2016 marked the 15th edition of the FiRe Awards, whose theme was “Accountable Governance for Excellence and Reliability in Financial Reporting in East Africa’’. The awards focus on voluntary disclosure of relevant information in annual reports that go significantly beyond the minimum legal and regulatory requirements. The event was held on the 27th and 28th of October, 2016.
The conference was held at The Safari park hotel followed by a 1000 pax exclusive black tie gala dinner held at the Windsor Golf Hotel and Country club.
For the third year in a row, Waridi Events was pleased to handle the end to end event planning, management and coordination with the key tasks being event management, event publicity, marketing and ticketing.
The gala dinner was hosted under an outdoor dome and was a night awash with awards, sparkles, music and laughter. The emcees for the night were Mark Maasai and David the student. The intense program featured speeches from notable guests, an award giving ceremony and ethnic entertainment from the slum drummers.
